What Are Disney Extra Magic Hours?
Disney Extra Magic Hours are additional theme park hours that are given to guests who stay at either Disney Hotels or some non-Disney hotels located around Walt Disney World and the Orlando area.
Depending on the day of the week, guests going to parks with Extra Magic Hours in the morning may enter 1 hour early. (Extra Magic Hours at Hollywood Studios is now having a 3-hour Extra-Extra Magic Hours for a limited time!)
For parks offering evening magic hours, qualified guests may stay at the park for up to 2 hours after normal operating times.
How Does Disney Enforce Extra Magic Hours?
During morning Extra Magic Hours, guests will need to scan their magic band or access card to get past the turnstile. Scanning will verify that you are a guest at one of the participating Disney World Hotels.
For evening Magic Hours, the characters do not clear out the park and make you rescan. You just have to tap your magic band or access card at each attraction.
How To Get Extra Magic Hours?

When Are Extra Magic Hours?

How Does Extra Magic Hours Work?
Guests staying at qualifying Disney properties are able to arrive at specific parks offering morning Magic Hours 1 hour early or remain in the parks for up to 2 hours after the normal closing time.
During morning Extra Hours, guests must scan their magic bands or access cards to enter the park.
Instead of having to exit and re-enter the park, guests staying for the evening Extra Hours must scan their magic band or access card at each ride and attraction.

Which Non-Disney Hotels Offer Extra Magic Hours?
There are quite a number of Non-Disney hotels that offer Extra Magic Hours around Orlando. Two of the most well-known hotels are the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. Even though they have the “Disney” name, they are actually not part of the “ON-Property” Disney Hotels.
